Subject	Is the battery tray WELDED in place?!

Message	Pulled my battery today, and the plastic tray. Metal one had the preformed holes in it but only 2 12mm bolts at the inside edge. Removed those and that side of the tray could move, but when I pulled on it by hand it clearly wasn't coming out. Didn't try to pry it out with anything besides just yanking a couple times by hand, and I couldn't manage to fit my head into the gap, but I can't find any other bolts and it looks like it might be welded along the front/outside edge. Can someone clear this up for me, and tell me how you remove the thing?
